After a strong debut in the EMKAY sponsored CRP Racing Corvette at the Pirelli World Challenge Mid-Ohio Grand Prix two weeks ago, Alex Lloyd will once again pilot the CRP Corvette under new sponsorship,, at the Sonoma Grand Prix this weekend, August 22-24.

crp-racing-corvetteLloyd started Round 11 in 24th place due to a malfunctioning transponder unit at Mid-Ohio only to charge his way up to 11th position before the race was cut short due to heavy rain. Alex intends to continue that momentum at Sonoma. “I’m thrilled to be back in the Racing Corvette at Sonoma,” says Lloyd. “It was a blast working with CRP Racing at Mid-Ohio, and I’m excited to apply what we learned there to this upcoming weekend in NorCal. Sonoma is one of my favorite tracks and I’ve always done well there in the past – including clinching the Indy Lights championship by winning the race in 2007. My experience racing in the Pirelli World Challenge has been fantastic so far, and the field is incredibly competitive. I’m excited to continue my return to pro racing after a number of years out of the saddle, and I’ll be going all-out for a strong result.”

Supporting the CRP Racing Corvette is new sponsor,, a litigation boutique firm located on the north side of Indianapolis, Indiana. “As a law firm based in Indianapolis, the attorneys of ROBERTS MEANS, LLC share our city’s renowned enthusiasm for motorsports,” says Jeffrey Roberts.

“As fans of the Pirelli World Challenge Series, we are excited to partner with CRP Racing to field the No. 12 Chevrolet Corvette driven by Alex Lloyd in the Sonoma Grand Prix. After quickly making a name for himself against top flight competition on European circuits, we first got to know Alex locally in Indianapolis as he impressively ascended the ranks of American Open Wheel racing, winning an Indy Lights championship in his second year of competition, finishing as high as 4th in the four starts in the Indianapolis 500, and being named the 2010 IndyCar Series Rookie of the Year. It is an honor and privilege for ROBERTS MEANS, LLC to sponsor CRP Racing and Indianapolis’ own Alex Lloyd, as they compete on the demanding road course at Sonoma.”
